Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for paid services on footballevents.eu, operated by [Company OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia]. It supplements our Terms of Service. All amounts are in EUR. Contact: legal@footballevents.eu.
1. Scope
This policy covers payments made directly to us:
- Organizer subscriptions (recurring plans),
- Boosts and featured placements (one-time purchases),
- Ticketing fees charged by us in future versions of the Service (placeholder — see section 4).
It does not cover payments made directly to organizers (e.g., participation fees, deposits, travel costs). Those are governed by the organizer's own terms — please contact the organizer for refunds related to their events.
2. Subscriptions
Organizer subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually).
- Cancellation — you can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your subscription remains active and you keep access to paid features until the end of the period already paid for.
- No mid-cycle refunds. We do not refund partial or unused portions of a current billing period. This applies whether you cancel, downgrade, stop using the Service, or have your account terminated for breach.
- Annual plans. Annual plans are non-refundable after activation, except as required by mandatory consumer law or where we offer an explicit early-bird/trial guarantee in writing at the time of purchase.
- Free trials. If a trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial. To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial ends.
- Price changes. If we increase prices, we give advance notice. You may cancel before the new price takes effect; if you do not, the new price applies at the next renewal.
3. Boosts and Featured Placements
Boosts and featured placements are one-time purchases that increase visibility of a listing for a defined period.
- No refunds once activated. Once a boost has gone live (even partially), it is non-refundable. The value is delivered through impressions and ranking position from activation onward.
- Pre-activation refunds. If a boost was purchased but has not yet been activated because of a verifiable technical error on our side (e.g., the boost slot failed to start, the listing was unavailable due to a platform fault), we will either re-deliver the boost or refund the purchase, at your choice.
- Disqualification. If a listing is removed for breach of our Terms before or during a boost run, the boost is forfeited and not refunded.
4. Ticketing (Future — v3 Placeholder)
Ticketing is not offered in the current version. When ticketing is introduced, organizers will be the merchant of record for ticket sales unless otherwise stated. Refund eligibility for tickets will follow the organizer's own refund terms and applicable consumer law (including, where relevant, the right of withdrawal exceptions for events tied to a specific date). We will publish an updated policy at that time.
5. Statutory Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU buying digital services, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. By starting to use a paid feature (e.g., publishing under a subscription, activating a boost) you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed. Most of our paid features are for organizers acting in a B2B capacity, where the statutory consumer withdrawal right does not apply.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — most issues are resolved faster by email. Unjustified chargebacks may result in:
- suspension or termination of the account,
- recovery of the disputed amount plus chargeback fees,
- referral to debt collection.
If a chargeback is filed and later resolved in our favor, the related service is not reinstated automatically.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email legal@footballevents.eu from the address registered to your account.
- Include: the order or invoice ID, the date of purchase, and a short description of the reason.
- We will respond within 5 business days and, if approved, issue the refund within 14 days to the original payment method via Stripe.
Refunds are issued in EUR. Currency conversion fees charged by your bank or card issuer are not reimbursed.
8. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, we retry for a limited period and notify you by email. If payment cannot be collected, paid features are paused until payment succeeds. Repeated failure may lead to account suspension. Reactivation does not restore lost visibility from the paused period.
9. Discretionary Refunds
We may, at our sole discretion and as a goodwill gesture, issue a refund outside the cases above. A goodwill refund is not a waiver of this policy and does not create an obligation to grant similar refunds in the future.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
